Lachie has been awarded the SLSA rescue medal for a rescue he performed with another club member earlier this year where his actions have undoubtedly saved the life of a young woman. Lachie has had an impact on many members within lifesaving and beyond. He has treated everyone with compassion and understanding.
He is a role model to not only junior members but senior members of SLSA, who with many years of lifesaving under their belt, respect him greatly for the impact he has had on the club, members, and community.
The Ruby Tuesday Foundation walks together with the traditional custodians of this nation. In doing this we acknowledge and pay respect to elders past, present and future, and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
